Technical specifications :
  • Diameter: 26.25 mm  → corresponds to 11½ lignes.
  • Winding type: Manual (no rotor visible in any of the views).
  • Complication: Date (full peripheral date wheel clearly visible in several photos, with numbers 1-31 on a gold-colored ring).
  • Jewels: Multiple red rubies visible (typically 17 or 21-25 jewels depending on the version).
  • Marking: “PATENTED” engraved on the main plate (often related to the date mechanism or shock protection).
  • Balance wheel: Visible from several angles, with hairspring and jewel.
  • Date drive: Classic system with intermediate wheel and corrector (lever visible in some views, especially IMG_0531 and IMG_0533).
Likely identification :Without a clear manufacturer marking visible but this is very likely a movement from the:
  • AS (A. Schild) 16xx/19xx series (e.g. AS 1686, AS 1952 or similar)
  • FHF (Fontainemelon) equivalent
Or an ETA from the 24xx/25xx manual-wind series (e.g. ETA 2452 or derivative). These 11½ ligne calibers with date were very common between 1955 and 1975 on brands such as Cyma, Doxa, Tissot, Longines, etc. (often rebadged). The style of the bridges, gear layout, and peripheral date wheel perfectly match this era.Condition based on the photos :
  • The movement is complete overall.
  • The main gears, balance wheel, and date wheel are present and appear to be in good general condition.
  • Some traces of dirt/dust and a small dark area on one edge
  • All screws are present and the jewels are intact.
  • No rotor → confirms manual winding.
  • Preowned in good condition, need to be serviced and restored, sold as it and following description.
