VINTAGE USED 70's ORIGINAL & HIGHLY FACTORY ROLEX CRISTAL TROPIC 39 TYPE  SUPERDOME -sea-dweller 1665-

THE SUPERDOME EFFECT :It has been said that the Superdome effect has been the main reasons why collectors take their vintage Sea-Dweller collections seriously.

DRSDs (double red sea-dwellers), Great White (white lettering dial sea-dwellers), Rail Dials (extended minute markers, followed by a distinctive curve at the T of “FT letterings” – all of which are very unique and collectable vintage Rolex sport models. Reference 1665 Sea-Dweller is one of the most iconic dive watches till date. A treat to wear, with the nice weightage, proportionate dial graphics.

T19 DOME & T39 SUPERDOME TROPIC CRYSTAL COMPARISON :

Arguably the most sought after tropic crystal is the reference T39 by collectors worldwide.

This pricy commodity has seen up to value of USD $ 900 plus for a NOS (new old stock) T39 Superdome just a few years back. T39 Superdome tropic crystal is also one that is in abundance of “aftermarket manufacturers”.

Be careful of those ones that are sold on the market as genuine ones. Odds are against you, so be sure to have a confirmed genuine T39 Superdome before putting down some money.

Upon inspection, there is no escaping from a Real McCoy versus a fugazi (non genuine). 

This were the factory issued plexiglasses that came on Rolex Sea-Dweller in the 60's / 80’s.

Dome is much nicer than service flat 39 plexi.

It is marked as 39 on Rolex packaging and is for the Sea-Dweller, case # 1665.

This crystal is very thick and superdomed, collectors love it !
