RARE 1960's Scuba Schild - Aqualung - Orator - steel 38mm Automatic Skin Diver CASE
This Aqualung case is in rather good cosmetic condition. It has a black steel bidirectional bezel with silver circular graduations.
SuperDome plexiglass with integrated cyclops, which was a revolution at the time.
Features a steel winding mechanism and screw-down caseback.
It is signed at the caseback : "100 % Waterproof Suisse Tested 100 metres, 10 ATS".
It has an original fixing springbars for a Tropic rubber strap or other.
The cosmetical condition is quite good, with a polished finish, but there are visible traces of corrosion in certain areas such as the case back (see pictures carefully please).
The dimensions are shown in the photographs.
The lugs are 20mm wide, and the whole case and tropic plexiglas with back is only 12.75mm thickness.
The Aqualung case with bezel measures 38,25mm in diameter.
Extremely rare to find, these are the first diving cases used by the Aqualung.
This is a 38.25mm stainless steel automatic diver's case, estimated dating from the 1960s made by Schild Aqualung Orator brand.
The watch diver case is complete and includes a signed sterile case back like all the famous 1960's Aqualung, A.Schild, Orator, Voit, Hoga, Accurist, etc., a glossy black bi-directional bezel, a superdome hesalit crystal with inner cyclop with slight storage marks and an original pressure sealed crown.
