Rolex 60's Rare watch collection timepieces for the first Rolex diving watches Submariner 5510, 5508, 5512, 5513 and 1680 :

DISCOVER THIS INSERT : Rolex MK2 fat font - Long 5

The key tell on this one is the long five feature in the 50 marker. 

It is the interior of the five that is elongated vertically rather than in the MK1 which is square. 

The exception is of course the MK0.5 or MK1.5 which I will expose later.  The fonts are without serifs and fat but not touching in anyway. 

There is a slight bit more breathing room between the fonts but still very fat.  We could imagine this one to have been fixed on the 5512, 5513's through the late 1960 up to early 1970.

It was probably also the model you would have found on the 1680 "Red Subs". 

It still remains a highly desirable insert for all vintage submariners.

ITEM DESCRIPTION :

The Rolex insert has this small feature on the 5, the longer upper cap (typography of the time) nicknamed "LONG FIVE- LONG 5" is a MARK II in the classification of old Rolex inserts. 

Mark 2 has a longer 5 - look for the shape of the inner part of the lower bit - on some looks like a little hammer, on others looks like a little axe head. 

It is compatible for watches Rolex Vintages Submariner 5512, 5513, sub date 168o.
Its patina is black color, slighty dark blue with a glossy style finish..

CONDITION:
General condition is good, the Rolex antique insert is nice.

This beauty should be on old antique Rolex watches Submariner as 5510 & 5508 James Bond watches.

His T-pearl at 12 'is original, tritium with yellow~creamy color, not glowing in the dark. 

It will be necessary to forgive him for 50 years of life where he passed in several hands....
The registered printing is homogeneous without blows or external shocks.

This Rolex insert itself doesn't have big scratches but has some marks of use visibles on surface (see carefully pictures)

Back is black.

Fixing and compatibility on vintages watches models Rolex 5512, 5513, 1680 also compatible Tudor 7928, 79090, 7021, 9411 40mm plexiglass from the 60s and 70s.
