This is a very rare blue central seconds hand (new old stock) for 1940s Rolex Bubble Back watches.

Originally manufactured by Rolex SA’s supplier Universo.
Universo – the time hand specialist- was founded in 1909 in La Chaux‑de‑Fonds and brought together several small hand‑making workshops into what became one of the benchmark Swiss Made manufacturers. Over the decades, the company has come to control the full process of producing high‑end watch hands and now supplies many of the most prestigious Swiss watch brands. Its market share in Swiss‑made hands is estimated at around 65%.

While Rolex is known for having vertically integrated a large part of its production, the brand has historically continued to rely on a few key external specialists for certain hands and components. Universo is one of the leading Swiss makers of high‑grade hands and has, at least historically, very likely supplied hands for top‑tier brands such as Rolex, even though this type of collaboration generally remains confidential within the watch industry.
